What printer cartridges does the Epson Expression Home XP-4105 use?

The Epson XP-4105 takes Epson 603/603XL inks which comprise of Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow, there is a starfish on the original Epson packaging. Our IJT branded recycled inks are available in the high capacity known as 603XL, these can print up to 500 pages from the black cartridge and 350 pages from each of the colours. The standard cartridges can only print up to 150 pages per cartridge. This is based on 5% coverage of an A4 page.

The Epson XP 4105 can print, scan and copy, thanks to the Epson Micro Piezo Print head technology it is capable of printing resolutions up to 5760 x 1440dpi at decent speeds for a printer of this budget (10 pages per minute Mono and 5 ppm colour).

Our thoughts on Design

The Epson XP 4105 comes in White, on the printers front panel there is a 6.1cm colour LCD screen and 13 buttons with which you can control print jobs. All of the features of the XP 4105 are contained in a small footprint of just 375 x 300 x 170 mm (WxDxH) and the printer itself weighs under 4.5kg. This printer has just 1 paper tray which can hold 100 plain sheets of paper or 20 sheets of photo paper.

Main Printer Advantages

This affordable printer has many extra features making it a great all round machine; for photo printing it can create borderless prints, has a photo enhance option and red eye removal. The Expression Home XP-4105 can also automatically duplex print which saves on paper and speeds up long print jobs, there are also many ways to connect to the XP-4105 as well as standard wireless and USB connection you can use mobile printing applications including Apple AirPrint and Epson Connect.

Main Printer Disadvantages

A restricting feature of the Epson Expression Home XP 4105 is the paper handling capacity; there is only 1 paper input tray so any time you want to change media type or size you have to swap out the media in the tray. There is also no Automatic Document Feeder in the XP-4105 so any long scanning jobs require constant attention replacing each page when it is finished unlike with an ADF where you can leave the printer to finish the job.
