What printer cartridges does the HP Deskjet 1110 use?

The HP Deskjet 1110 uses two individual IJT Direct branded ink cartridges. Printer ink for the Deskjet 1110 comprises of a black and tri-colour cartridge. There are both standard capacity and high capacity available. HP have branded these as 302 and 302XL. The standard cap 302 black can print up to 190 pages and the tri-colour can do up to 165 pages. The high capacity 302XL inks can print up to 480 pages from the black and 330 pages from each colour. This is based on 5% coverage of an A4 page.

Here at IJT Direct, our experts recommend the HP 1110 is a match made in heaven for the home or a small office. Its budget and space friendly with a 2 ink, black and tri-colour system and 42.58 x 21.56 x 12.43 cm dimensions. It’s also important to point out the 1110 isn’t wireless, only offering USB 2.0.

Our thoughts on Design

The HP 1110 is a clean and tidy 42.58 cm wide and a tiny 12.43cm high. Its white plastic body will sit discreetly in most homes or offices, almost hidden away. There isn’t much else to this printer really, it’s not multifunction and the paper is top fed rather than from a paper tray.


Main Printer Advantages

A simple and affordable printer, the HP 1110 is designed to work straight out of the box and can hide away in plain sight. It’s a no frills document printer with a reasonable 1200 dpi print resolution.


Main Printer Disadvantages

The 1110 doesn’t have any wireless connectivity so you’ll need to print via USB, which if the printer is next to you won’t be a problem, but if it isn’t then you’ll need to be near or next to it to print. The 2 ink system also means that when one of the colours in the tri-colour cartridge runs out the whole cartridge needs replacing, which intern leads to a higher print cost. It’s even more again when buying Epson originals.

Running costs - Are the inks good value for money?
