The Epson Workforce WF-7210DTW takes Epson 27 inks, these have a clock on the Epson retail packaging and are available in 2 capacities with an extra high ink black also available. Our IJT branded inks are available in the high capacity 27XL, each set is made of a Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow, the standard 27 black can print up to 350 pages and each of the colours up to 300 pages in comparison to the high capacity 27XL inks which can each print up to 1100 pages, the extra high yield black can print up to 2200 pages. These numbers are based on 5% coverage of an A4 page.

The Epson Workforce WF 7210DTW is a great A3+ inkjet printer; it is aimed towards micro business and home use. The print quality is surprising for the price of the printer; it can print resolutions up to 4800x2400 dpi which creates excellent results at fast print speeds.

Our thoughts on Design

The WF7210DTW comes in black with a 5.6cm LCD mono screen which shows basic printer status, and some buttons to navigate the printer menus. The WF7210 has 2 paper trays which can hold up to 500 sheets in total and the output tray has a 125 sheet capacity, it supports a range of media types and sizes including A3+, C4, letter and paper weights between 64 g/m² - 256 g/m².

Main Printer Advantages

For a printer with such high print quality the Epson Workforce WF-7210 DTW is fast, it has printing speeds of up to 32ppm in mono and 20ppm in colour printing mode. There are also plenty of extra features to the WF-7210DTW beyond just printing; it can print borderless, has a rear specialty media feed, thick media support and automatic duplex printing for both A3 and A4 plain paper. The connectivity is also an advanced feature of the WF-7210DTW, as well as the standard USB and wireless options it has NFC support and is compatible with mobile  and cloud printing services through Epson connect and Apple AirPrint.

Main Printer Disadvantages

The obvious down side to the Epson Workforce WF-7210DTW is the size, due to the A3 media support the printer itself is very large with dimensions of 567mmx424mmx304mm (WxDxH) and a weight over 15kg so it needs quite a large area to be stored. Other potential limiting factors are there is no memory or SD card slot which is present in other models and it is just a single function printer, it cannot scan or copy.

Running costs - Are the inks good value for money?
