The Brother DCP-L8410CDW takes brother TN421 and TN423 toners, there are 4 individual toners in a set; black, cyan, magenta and yellow. The black TN421 has a page yield of 3000 pages and each colour up to 1800 pages, whereas the high capacity TN423 black can print up to 6500 pages and each colour toner 4000 pages. The Brother DCP L8410CDW is a great office printer according to our printer experts. It is an excellent addition to any office and makes print, scan and copy jobs effortless. This 3 in 1 multifunction printer can produce resolutions up to 2400x600dpi creating superior prints at fast speeds with a range of connection options including; USB, Wireless, network, mobile and cloud printing applications.

Our thoughts on Design

The Brother DCP L8410 has 2 paper handling trays; the main input tray with a capacity of 250 sheets of plain paper and a 50 sheet capacity multipurpose tray. As well as the flatbed scanner there is an integrated 50 sheet automatic document feeder, an essential feature for document scanning. The control panel of the DCP-L8410CDW has a 9.3cm colour touch screen display and a keypad with additional buttons, all printer jobs can be managed on this.

Main Printer Advantages

The DCP-L8410CDW can print very fast; it is capable of producing up to 31 print per minute in both mono and colour printing modes, the scan speeds are also quick at up to 28ipm. As mentioned the 50 sheet ADF is an excellent feature of this machine, it speeds up multipage scanning jobs and allows the printer to carry them out without any user input. This autonomy is furthered by the automatic duplex feature which saves paper and makes producing double sided prints effortless.

Main Printer Disadvantages

One thing missing from the DCP L8410 CDW is fax capabilities; this printer is not suitable for someone who needs a printer which can function as a fax machine. Another disadvantage to the Brother DCP-L8410CDW is its size. It is quite a large printer with dimensions of 435 x 526 x 539 mm (WxDxH) and a weight of 27.6kg which makes it unsuitable for most home settings.

Running costs - Are the inks good value for money?
