Our Expert review of the Nedis Alarm Clock with Wireless QI Charging
What we think of the design:
It feels like most products are being wrapped in woven fabric with the intension of giving them a fresh modern look and feel, and quite honestly, long may it continue, especially where Nedis are producing new tech. This alarm clock and Bluetooth speaker looks great, like inspiration has been taken from the Amazon Echo devices. The large wireless charging base that covers the entire of the top of the device is large enough you won’t need to balance your phone on top to charge it.
What’s good about it?
Everything! Aesthetically it looks great and functionally it works exactly as it should as an alarm clock and wireless speaker. Looks in more detail at the alarm clock, there is a built-in LED clock with snooze so you needn’t worry about having to reset the alarm once it goes off. It produces quite some noise for a speaker of its size and the rechargeable battery can last up to 6 hours. Now for its party piece, the wireless QI charging pad that covers the top of the device. It’s no more complicated than placing your phone on top, going to sleep and waking up the next morning with a fully charged smartphone.
What’s the sound like?
The compact nature of the speaker means it won’t fill a massive room with sound but a normal family home, it’s very impressive. We’d liken it to an Amazon Echo Dot in that respect.
Are there any drawbacks?
Yes a couple. Namely the lack of a mains plug in the box and the fairly short USB lead. Luckily you can use any USB mains plug you have at home and the same goes for the micro USB lead.
