What printer cartridges does the Brother DCP-J572DW use?

The Brother DCP J572 DW uses four individual IJT Direct branded ink cartridges, comprising of black, cyan, magenta and yellow. There are two capacities known as LC3211 and LC3213.  The LC3211 covers all four cartridges in the low capacity and this range offers up to 200 pages per cartridge. IJT Direct also offers the high capacity cartridges; on these you can get up to 400 pages from each of the LC 3213 cartridges. This is based on 5% coverage of an A4 page.

Our thoughts on Design

We think the Brother J572 DW all in one inkjet printer looks very smart; it was released in black. This printer is compact coming in at only 400(W) x 341(D) x 151(H) mm and weighs just 7.2kg. This model can hold up to 100 sheets of copy paper in the front loading paper tray; it also has a single sheet rear manual feed slot for thicker media.  It features a flatbed scanner on the top of the machine and a handy 4.5cm display screen.

Main Printer Advantages

The functional and compact MFC J572DW offers print, scan, copy and fax up to A4 size. Don’t forget to take advantage of the automatic duplex print option to save on paper usage. This machine has very impressive print speeds, using the fast mode you can get up to 27 pages per minute monochrome and 10 pages per minute for colour. You can connect to this printer using multiple devices as it offers many connectivity options including WIFI, USB, Air Print, Mopria Print Service for Android, WIFI Direct, Google Cloud Print and iPrint&Scan.

Main Printer Disadvantages

The Brother J572DW can be limiting when using heavier media as anything above 220gsm needs to go through the single sheet manual rear feed slot and this can be time consuming when doing multiple copies. This model has no option of fax or ADF from new.

Running costs - Are the inks good value for money?
