What printer cartridges does the Brother MFC-J4625DW use?

The Brother MFC-J4625DWuses Brother standard LC223 and high capacity LC227XL and LC225XL inks, there four individual colour cartridges in each set; black, cyan, magenta and yellow. The standard LC223 cartridges can print up to 550 pages from each colour, the high capacity LC227XL black and LC225XL colours can each print up to 1200 pages, our IJT branded cartridges are available in both capacities. This is based on 5% coverage of an A4 page.

The Brother MFC-J4625DW is a perfect home and small office printer according to the IJT printer experts. As well as 4 in1functionality this printer has A3 printing support and fast print speeds with a long list of connectivity options including wireless, NFC, mobile printing and cloud services. 

Our thoughts on Design

The Brother MFC-J4625DW has a very unique design; the main case is white with a black strip running around the middle which houses a large 9.3cm LCD touch screen, on top the CIS photo and document scanner has a black lid as well as an integrated ADF which can hold up to 20 sheets at a time. The main body contains a 150 sheet capacity input tray which can also hold a range of other media sizes and types up to A4 and a single sheet manual feed paper tray which allows printing on A3 size media.

Main Printer Advantages

The laser like print quality and printing speeds are stand out features of the Brother MFC-J4625DW; it can print resolutions up to 6000x1200dpi at speeds up to 35 mono prints per minute and 27 colour. For a reasonably priced multifunction inkjet the ability to print of A3 paper is another great feature, other beneficial extras included with the MFC-J4625DW are automatic duplex printing and an automatic document feeder, both of which reduce the need for user input when printing.  The connectivity options are also a great element to this printer the mobile and cloud printing support mentioned includes applications such as Brother iPrint, Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print.

Main Printer Disadvantages

Despite A3 printing abilities the Brother MFC-J4625DW can only print A3 one page at a time through the manual feed tray with no option for an additional A3 paper tray, so each page has to be manually loaded by the user which is time consuming and slows down print jobs.
