What printer cartridges does the Canon Pixma iP8750 use?

The Pixma IP8750 uses IJT Direct branded PGI551 and CLI550 ink cartridges. IJT Direct PG550XL and CLI551XL ink comes in high capacity black and individual colours.  The PGI550XL black can print up to 500 pages, the CLI551 black prints up to 800 pages and the CLI551 cyan, magenta and yellow can print up to 715 pages and the grey prints up to 275 pages. This is based on 5% coverage on an A4 page.

The Canon Pixma IP8750 comes in at 590 x 331 x 159 mm and weighs just 8.5kg, bearing in mind you can print up to A3 on this machine it’s fairly small in size. The USB port is handy for those who prefer a cable connection to a laptop or PC.

Main Printer Advantages

The Canon IP8750 uses Canons extremely sought-after 6 ink set up for its splendid prints. This printer can hold a max of 150 sheets plain paper or 20 photo sheets and can take up to 300gsm in paper weight; you can even create t-shirt transfers and do direct disc printing from this machine.  It features many connection methods including usb, wifi, Android (Printing Solutions App) and Apple Air Print.

Main Printer Disadvantages

The Canon PixmaIP 8750 wouldn’t be such a good purchase if you were looking to print a lot of documents, it also only has manual duplex so this would be time consuming. This printer is also print only, it has no scanner so cannot do scan or copy.

Running costs - Are the inks good value for money?
