What printer cartridges does the Canon Pixma MG6450 use?

The Pixma MG6450 uses IJT Direct branded PGI551 and CLI550 ink cartridges. IJT Direct PG550XL and CLI551XL ink comes in high capacity black and individual colours.  The PGI550XL black can print up to 500 pages, the CLI551 black prints up to 800 pages and the CLI551 cyan, magenta and yellow can print up to 715 pages. This is based on 5% coverage on an A4 page.

The Canon MG6450 was released in sleek black and it features a large 7.5cm display screen helping you see clearly when selecting functions and previewing images. It size comes in at 455x369x148mm and it has a front loading paper tray that can be closed when not in use to save space. This model also has a flatbed photo and document scanner on the top of the printer.

Main Printer Advantages

The Pixma MG6450 is a superb printer It uses Canons very favourable 5 ink set up for its beautiful prints. You can also save paper by using the automatic duplex function. This printer has many connection options making to easy to connect from PC’s, laptops, tablets and smart phones making it a great addition to the home or office, it also has Pixma cloud link allowing you to print from and scan to the internet. You can also print directly from a memory card with the handy SD card slot right at the front of the printer. You can use a wide variety of media types and weights from 64-300gsm.

Main Printer Disadvantages

The Pixma-MG6450 can be limiting if you were looking to do a large volume of printing as it only holds up to 100 sheets of copier paper at a time. This model does not have a fax or automatic document feeder; these features were not an option from new.

Running costs - Are the inks good value for money?
