The Canon Pixma TS 6351 printer is the latest iteration from Canon that offers printing, scanning & copying all in a neat package. White outer shell gives it a modern feel, but it may appear grubby over time as a result.  Decent print speeds. Huge ink cartridge yields & a low price on replacement inkjets make this a good offering from Canon.

Our thoughts on Design

Hardly groundbreaking in design, The TS6351 follows a similar style to the previous & successful Canon Pixma printer ranges. All functions are easily located, from the paper try to the USB ports. A very well thought out printer design.  

Main Printer Advantages

The multifunctional inkjet Canon TS6351 printer does it all. Almost. We’d like to see fax functionality as we still see its use, even though the technology use is dwindling given email. Automatic duplex capability - a great feature for this budget level printer. A paper handling, a 100 sheet input tray & 4800 x 1200 DPI print resolution.

Main Printer Disadvantages

The Canon TS6351 doesn’t have an internal paper tray. It pulls out from the front of the printer, which while this may allow it to be packed away and stored in a neater footprint, it is frustrating and can feel flimsy & at risk of damage. As we said, no fax, which is a shame as it would have completed the work from home / small business printer package.

Running costs - Are the inks good value for money?

We do think this is a fresh offering from Canon. The Pixma TS6351 has huge ink cartridges capable of printing close to 1000 pages. From an inkjet printer, that’s incredible. Canon original inks are competitively price, as are good quality recycled inkjets and toners. If you buy your inkjets from IJT Direct, significant savings can be made, without jeopardising print quality.
