What printer cartridges does the Epson Expression Photo XP750 use?
 
The Epson XP 750 takes Epson 24 inks, there are six cartridges for this machine; Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Light Cyan and Light Magenta. These inks come in standard and high capacities and there is an elephant on the front of the original Epson packaging. The standard capacity black cartridge can print up to 240 pages and the colours can each print up to 360 pages. Our IJT branded cartridges are available in the high capacity, the black can print up to 500 pages and the colours up to 740 pages each. This is based on 5% coverage of an A4 page.

The printer experts here at IJT Direct think the XP750 is a great reasonably priced photo printer, the Claria Photo HD 6 ink system creates excellent quality prints at a resolution of 5760 x 1440dpi. The XP-750 can also scan at 2400 x 4800dpi thanks to its contact image sensor (CIS) scanner and copy documents. You can connect and print from the Expression Photo XP750 wirelessly from smart phones or tablets, by USB cable and directly from SD cards.
 
Our thoughts on Design
 
As mentioned above, the XP-750 has multiple ports smartly hidden on the front of the machine including a USB port, there is an 8.8cm LCD touch-screen and other control buttons on a titling front panel. This printer has 2 paper trays, 1 lower tray which can hold up to 100 sheets and a smaller input tray for other media sizes which can hold up to 20 sheets of photo paper. The printer itself measures 390mmx341mmx141mm (WxDxH) and weighs 7.3kg.
 
Main Printer Advantages
 
The Epson XP750 is a great photo printer, as well as the high quality prints the printer has a borderless printing feature. Unlike other printers which can have fiddly paper trays the output tray and control panel on the XP-750 automatically open before printing, reducing the likelihood of paper jams. The printing speed is also very quick at 32ppm for mono and colour prints.
 
Main Printer Disadvantages
 
Despite the Epson XP-750 being an excellent photo printer, the quality of text documents is not as defined as that of photo prints so should be avoided if looking to mostly print text documents. Also the photo paper tray on the XP750 is a is a bit limiting as it can only hold 20 sheets of photo paper maximum.
 
Running costs - Are the inks good value for money?
 
Here at IJT Direct we think the Epson Expression Photo XP750 printer has great running costs, especially when using our low cost, high capacity, great quality recycled inkjet cartridges.
