What printer cartridges does the Epson Expression Home XP335 use?

The Epson XP 335 uses four individual IJT Direct branded ink cartridges, comprising of black, cyan, magenta and yellow. There are two capacities known as 29 and 29XL, the Epson original inks have a picture of a Strawberry on the front of the packaging. The Epson 29 black can print up to 175 pages and the colours can do up to 180 pages. Whereas the high capacity 29XL range can print up to 470 pages from black and 450 pages from each colour. This is based on 5% coverage of an A4 page.

Our team of experts here at IJT Direct think the Epson XP 335 is a superb all round printer which would be most suited to a home user. It has an image resolution of 5,760x1,440 which means you can create high quality photo prints as well as general day to day printing.

Our thoughts on Design

We think the Epson XP-335 looks great, it’s been finished in stylish white. This machine features a flatbed scanner, memory card slot and also a 3.7cm screen. You can stack up to 100 sheets of A4 copy paper or 20 photo sheets in the rear loading paper tray.

Main Printer Advantages

The Epson 335 uses Epson’s 4 ink range which makes it economical to run, you can also use the duplex function to save on paper. It’s a neat small home printer which can be tucked away when not in use. There is a range of connection options including USB, WIFI, WIFI Direct, mobile printing and you can also insert your memory card straight into the printer.

Main Printer Disadvantages

The XP 335 can be time consuming for some users as its print speeds are quite slow at 9 pages per minute for monochrome and 4.5 pages per minute for coloured prints; when using the duplex function this can slow you down further as it’s not an auto feature. From new there was no option for either a fax or automatic document feeder.

Running costs - Are the inks good value for money?

Here at IJT Direct we think the Epson Expression Home XP335 printer has great running costs especially when using our low cost, high capacity, great quality recycled inkjet cartridges.
