What printer cartridges does the Epson Workforce WF-7620DTWF use?

The Epson WF-7620DTWF uses Epson 27 4 ink system comprising of Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow cartridges. The Epson retail packing has an image of a clock on the front. These inks come in standard and high capacity cartridges with our IJT branded inks available in the high capacity. The standard inks can print up to 300 pages from each of the colours and 350 pages from the black cartridge whereas the high capacity 27XL inks can print up to 1100 pages each cartridge. This is based on 5% coverage of an A4 page.

Our IJT printer experts think the Epson WF-7620DTWF is an excellent business multifunction printer, which is also suitable for home use. With scan, fax, copy and printing functions all supporting up to tabloid size paper; this is very reasonably priced for a machine with such capabilities.  You can connect to the WF-7620DTWF wirelessly as well as though a standard USB or network connection.

Our thoughts on Design

The Epson WF-7620DTW is available in black, and has SD and USB card ports to the left of the output tray. As well as a single sheet manual feed the WF-7620DTWF has 2 250 sheet input trays making a total paper handling capacity of 500 sheets, impressive for a printer of this price. There is a CIS scanner on the top of the printer with a 35 sheet Automatic Document Feeder for larger documents, below this is a control panel with a 10.9cm colour touch screen and a series of buttons for navigating and controlling printer jobs.

Main Printer Advantages

The ADF feature of the WF-7620DTWF allows you to scan long multi-page documents without any manual input, this scanner can also automatically duplex so it can read double sided documents independently as well. The Auto Duplex on this machine also makes printing easier and will reduce the amount of paper used. The Epson WF 2620 DWTF produces excellent quality prints and the multiple paper trays mean that the printer can hold different sizes of paper at the same time, There is no need to replace the paper each time you want to change media size.

Main Printer Disadvantages

The main disadvantage to the Epson Workforce WF- 7620DTWF is its size, the dimensions are 567 x 486 x 418 mm (WxDxH) and it weighs 21.7kg so this is not a printer that can be placed anywhere or moved around frequently. Additionally although the text print is of excellent quality, graphics are not as good when compared to those produced by other similar multifunction inkjets.

Running costs - Are the inks good value for money?

We think the Epson Workforce WF-7620DTF already has good running costs because of the 4 ink system it employs but this can be better because buying original Epson cartridges will increase these costs even when using the high capacity cartridges.
