What printer cartridges does the Epson Workforce WF-7710DWF use?

The Epson Workforce WF-7710DWF uses Epson 27 cartridges which have a clock on the original Epson retail packaging. These inks are available in standard (27) and high capacity (27XL) with each set containing 4 cartridges; Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow, our IJT- branded cartridges come in the high capacity. The standard cartridges can print up to 300 pages from each colour cartridge and 350 pages from the black whereas each of the high capacity cartridges can print up to 1100 pages. This is based on 5% coverage on an A4 page.

The WF-7710DWF is a multifunction printer which suits use both in a home and small office with a maximum duty cycle of 20000 pages a month. With the ability to print, scan and copy all up to A3 size and a laser like print quality it is an impressive printer for the price. The Epson WF-7710 DWF is capable of printing at resolutions up to 4800 x 2400dpi and supports a variety a connectivity options including Epson Connect and Apple AirPrint.  

Our thoughts on Design

The Epson Workforce WF-7710DWF is available in black and features a large 10.9cm colour touch screen display with additional buttons on a control panel for managing print jobs. As well as the main 250 sheet capacity input tray which can hold up to A3 size plain paper there is a single sheet rear fed specialty media tray and a 35 ADF which significantly speeds up long scanning jobs.

Main Printer Advantages

A great feature of Epson Workforce WF-7710DWF printer is that the A3 capability is across all printer functions (Print, Scan and Copy) unlike lots of other inkjets which are only capable of A3 printing; this is also true of the auto duplex feature which is possible for both printing and scanning. The print speeds are also fast at a maximum of 32 monochrome prints per minute and 20 colour prints, making it a great printer for regular multipage print jobs.

Main Printer Disadvantages

Although the WF-7710DWF has automatic duplex printing and scanning  it can only manually produce double sided copies, additionally the automatic duplex print setting does significantly slow the printing speed to just 9 mono prints per minute and 6 colour. Lastly the Epson Workforce WF-7710DWF only has 1 paper tray, this means every time you want to print on a different media or size you need to replace the paper in the input tray.

Running costs - Are the inks good value for money?

Yes we think the WF-7710DWF has cheap running costs. Using original Epson inks will cost more and increase the overall expense of your printing.
