What printer cartridges does the Hewlett Packard Deskjet 3720 use?

The HP DeskJet 3720 uses the HP 304 ink cartridges. IJT Directs branded inks come in the high capacity version known as 304XL black & tri colour. The 304 black can print up to 120 pages and the colour is up to 100 pages where as the 304XL cartridges can print up to 300 pages per cartridge. These numbers are based on 5% coverage of an A4 page.

The stylish DeskJet3720 has been finished in white and blue making it stylish as well as being full of functions. With ease of use in mind it has a LCD display on the front of the printer and a scroll feed scanner.

Main Printer Advantages

As well as being small and looking stylish the HP 3720 can be used by multiple users with the ability to be connected to PC’s and laptops via USB or WIFI. You can also connect via your Smartphone or tablet wirelessly through Apple AirPrint or the HP Print App. This machine has a very handy quiet mode setting so you can print without disturbing others. 

Main Printer Disadvantages

The DeskJet 3720 does not have an auto duplex function so if you’re looking to do a large double sided print job this would be time consuming. As the scanner is a scroll feed this can get some getting used to.

Running costs - Are the inks good value for money?

We think the HP DeskJet 3720 could have cheaper running costs. As this machine uses a 2 ink system they tend to be more expensive to run, especially with the tri colour cartridge as if you run out of a colour you need to replace the whole cartridge.
