HP created the Envy 5030 for home users; it’s neat and compact design appeals to many people. It’s been finished in black; features a flat bed scanner and a 100 sheet paper tray.

Main Printer Advantages

With the end user in mind HP have made the Envy 5030 very easy to use; it has many connection methods through USB or WIFI. It also has mobile printing via Hp ePrint as well as Apple Air Print and it’s Mopria-certified. This machine can use different sizes and weights of media to create high resolution prints. Use the built in automatic duplex print function to save money on paper.

Main Printer Disadvantages

The HP5030 printer was created without a fax or ADF so could be limiting to certain users. It’s also quite slow with ISO print speeds of up to 10 ppm for black and 7ppm for colour.

Running costs - Are the inks good value for money?

We think the HP Envy 5030 could have more affordable running costs. As this machine uses a 2 ink system they tend to be more expensive to run, especially with the tri colour cartridge as if you run out of a colour you need to replace the whole cartridge.
