It may sound ridiculous but the answer is yes! We originally found this article in 2003 and quite frankly aren't that shocked it's still going on. This sharp practice has got to stop & printer manufacturers failings are still being highlighted in 2021, by the BBC and Which? again!

Which? Magazine was reported in the press to have found that many inkjet and toner cartridges would have been up to seven times cheaper if filled with vintage Dom Perignon champagne! Not unsurprisingly, the magazine recommended readers find compatible re-manufactured printer cartridge alternatives.
