The Canon Pixma TR7550 printer uses IJT Direct branded recycled black inkjet cartridge PGI580XXL and recycled colour inkjet CLI581XXL cartridges. The black XXL high yield cartridge prints 795 pages, 747 copies per magenta, and 830 pages from the cyan & yellow cartridge’s. This is based on 5% coverage of an A4 page.

Using Canons advantageous 5 ink system means you only have to replace the ink that is empty, another bonus is the fill on the XXL inks making it super economical.

Our thoughts on Design

The TS7550 follows a similar style to the previous Canon Pixma printer ranges and has been finished in stylish black. If you’re looking for an all in one machine that can be tucked into a smaller space this option would be perfect with dimensions of 438 x 350 x 190mm.  The control buttons are on a handy movable flap at the front of the machine and is very user friendly. Another bonus is the 20 sheet ADF making it quick and easy to do multiple scans and copies.

Main Printer Advantages

The Canon TS-7550 features an A4 dual paper feeder which can take both copier and photo paper. With a resolution of 4800x1200 you can use this machine to print off your pictures for a fraction of the cost of having them printed professionally. An array of connection methods including WIFI and USB allows multiple users to access the printer.  Save money on paper by using the auto duplex feature built into this machine

Main Printer Disadvantages

The Canon TS 7550 is very slow on duplex printing; it only goes up to 3pages per minute on mono prints. On single sided sheets it can do up to 15 pages per minute with is still fairly slow.

Running costs - Are the inks good value for money?

We do think this is a fresh offering from Canon. The Pixma TR 7550 has huge ink cartridges capable of printing close to 1000 pages. From an inkjet printer, that’s incredible. Canon original inks are competitively price, as are good quality recycled inkjets and toners. If you buy your inkjets from IJT Direct, significant savings can be made, without jeopardising print quality. Remember buy from IJT online, the best printer ink in Britain.
