Our Expert review of the Vonino Navo P 7 inch Android Tablet

How it’s currently spec’d:

The brand new Vonino Navo P Android tablet is spec’d as follows: A 7 inch HD IPS touch screen display, a quad core processor, 8GB storage and 1GB RAM. As standard you get a WiFi connection, Bluetooth and NFC, MicroSD card slot for memory expansion and a front facing camera for those essential video calls. Android 7.1 is preinstalled.

Where we think it excels:

For those of us that want to shop on a budget, this 7 inch Android tablet very much delivers on that. It provides everything essential to get you up and running and will cover the basic requirements from a tablet without fuss.

What we think its drawbacks are:

Nowadays 8GB storage is very small, especially when you consider some of that is taken up by the Operating System and other essential bits of software. The Navo P does have a MicroSD card slot that will accept up to a 32GB memory card so that does soften the blow somewhat.

What we think of the design:

We weren’t expecting premium design or materials and Vonino definitely don’t deliver, nor do they over promise on what the product is. It has cost-effectiveness at its core so we weren’t surprised when we were greeted with lots of plastic. That doesn’t detract from it being sturdy and well built, especially for the money.

Who it’s suitable for:

Pick up a Navo P for those new to tablet computing, especially kids, but remember to buy a suitable tough case as well!
