What type of trimmer is it?
The clue is in the title with the Wahl 5545-516. The triple purpose cordless trimmer is designed for getting rid of excess nose and ear hair as well as trimming eyebrows.
What’s good about it?
Unlike the previous Wahl 5560-500 it can get rid of excess nose hair, ear hair and eyebrow hair, 1 more than the model it has replaced. It also isn’t specifically targeted at either men or women. We all know tweezers can be painful to use, especially with those single hairs, to which the Wahl cordless trimmer doesn’t make the process painless, but far less painful than using tweezers. Cleaning is easy and the battery seems to last forever before needing replacing.
Are there any drawbacks?
Mainly that it isn’t rechargeable. Not having to plus it in to the mains to use it is a bonus but as standard you’d need to replace the battery with a single AA, unless of course you were to use a rechargeable AA battery.
Should you trade up for the Wahl 5545-516?
The simple fact that it performs three grooming tasks in one makes it worth adding to your existing personal grooming equipment or buying as your first venture in to personal grooming.
