Our Specialist view of the Dell 2007FP 20 inch Monitor

How it’s currently spec’d:

The refurbished Dell 2007FP 20 inch PC monitor is spec’d as follows: a surprisingly high resolution LCD display with a 1600 x 1200 HD+ image resolution. The monitor itself is what you’d consider a square display, 4:3 aspect ratio. The monitor has a 100 x 100 mm VESA mounting pattern and can be quickly released from the stand for 3rd party mounting options. The stand offers full adjustability with height, tilt, swivel and pivot. Video connections are limited to VGA and DVI but you’ll also find 4 USB ports.

Where we think it excels:

The 2007FP is a no frills computer monitor solution and it’s right there in its simplicity that we believe it excels. It’s easy to deploy in most environments and is well built to withstand some rougher treatment. The Dell 2007FP will also provide a surprisingly high level of performance for most tasks thrown at it.

What we think its drawbacks are:

The on screen menu isn’t as easy to navigate as other Dell monitors we have used previously and the base design isn’t the most stable because of its shape.

What we think of the design:

It’s not really beautiful, it’s not a large display and the stand is a design that doesn’t lend itself to be most stable. That being said it’s a few years old now and if the aesthetics isn’t the most important thing to you’ll not mind much, if any, especially when you start actually using the monitor.

Who it’s suitable for:

Best placed in a school or educational setting, the Dell 2007FP would also be at home in then home.
