Dell Manufacturer Description
Our Specialist view of the Dell Optiplex 5250 21.5 inch AiO PC
The Spec:
The refurbished All in One Dell Optiplex 5250 PC is spec’d as follows: a 21.5” widescreen Full HD WLED IPS anti-glare screen sits in front of an Intel Core i5-7500 quad core 3.40GHz processor, 8GB RAM that can be upgraded to 32GB, a 256GB 2.5” Solid State Drive (SSD) and Windows 10 Professional preinstalled. The Dell 5250 is packed with other features including a 2MP webcam with privacy cover, stereo speakers, DVD+/-RW optical drive, dual band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
The Good Bits:
The very definition of an All in One computer is that every essential part of a PC is all contained in the same chassis, and the Dell Optiplex 5250 does an exquisite job of just that. Not only does it look the part, this business spec All-in-One performs as well. Deploy it in an office, no problem because of its up to date spec and gigabit Ethernet connection. Deploy it at home; no problem either and if anything it’s slightly overkill with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, stereo speakers and multiple connectivity options.
The Not So Good Bits:
When first in production the Dell Optiplex 5250 had a few different stand choices offering varying levels of adjustability and flexibility. This particular 5250 has a height only adjustable stand and though that is by no means a disaster the screen can’t be further adjusted if you’re trying to show a work colleague your screen or its set up at home for younger children to use. The system would also benefit from some stronger speakers as an upgrade to the built-in ones.
The Design:
It’s very much business spec all round. The blacks and grey plastics, squared edges and speaker bar the runs along the bottom edge of the screen all combine for that premium look and feel. Most of the ports are hidden at the back of the PC so they aren’t the easiest to access but there is plenty of options.
Suitability:
The Dell Optiplex 5250 AiO PC is ideal for deploying in business environments, not only because of its sleek and modern styling but also because it offers a decent spec with multiple internet connectivity options.
