Our Expert Review of the Fairywill Electric Toothbrush & Waterflosser
What we think of the design:
On first glance you’d look at the toothbrush and water flosser and think these are just another toothbrush and water flosser because ultimately how can they look differently from what you’d expect? Then on closer inspection the toothbrush is actually quite slim and lightweight for an electric toothbrush and on the front is a display for the different brushing modes. It’s also finished in a sleek 2 tone black. The water flosser is also finished in the same 2 tone black but it’s quite chunky, in no small part due to the large 300ml water tank. Easy to use 2 buttons on the front to turn it on and select from 1 of the 3 cleaning modes.
What’s good about it?
You’d possibly think these are only small things but the toothbrush and water flosser charge via USB rather than bulky charging cradles that require a power outlet in the bathroom or being inconveniently plugged in a different room. Fairywill advertise both products as having up to 30 days between charges. The caveat being “up to” but after more than 7 days use there has been no need to charge either. Lastly the number of brush heads and flosser tips provided is a real bonus. 4 of each mean you shouldn’t need to consider buying anymore for at least a year, if not longer.
Are there any drawbacks?
We were probably expecting a bit much considering the £25 retail price but a travel case would have been the icing on the cake of this amazing value for money oral healthcare bundle. There is a brush head cover included but that won’t protect the rest of it or the flosser. The flosser itself, if you’ve not used one before does take a bit of getting used to as well. It’s surprisingly powerful so can make quite a mess of your bathroom.
Are there alternative products available?
There are lots and lots of the same products available from recognised brands like Philips and Oral B but for similar or slightly better performance you’ll end up paying much more. Obviously there are other similar brands to Fairywill offering similar products and some that are cheaper.
