Our Expert review of the i12 TWS Wireless Bluetooth EarBuds
What we think of the design:
It’s impossible not to look at the i12 TWS earbuds and not see a striking resemblance to Apples AirPods. To be fair to Apple, they have nailed the look, classic white minimalist; the i12’s are true wireless earphones that so good in the ear or in the charging case.
What’s good about it?
For a start they look and feel just like AirPods but with a quite brilliant little extra touch. Not only can you use them with iPhones, they will also work with Android smartphones such as Samsung, Huawei and others. They also have decent play time of up to 3 hours and touch control for calls, music and using Bixby, Google and Siri. Back to the subject of play time and the charging case, even if the battery runs out on either or both earbuds, the charging case can recharge the earbuds up to 4 times.
What’s the sound like?
Considering they aren’t super expensive the sound is good, more than good actually. When the volume gets toward the top end the earphones struggle a bit but what can you expect for earphones that cost roughly a quarter of a pair of Apple AirBuds.
Are there any drawbacks?
The obvious with more or less all True Wireless tech, once the charging case runs out of juice that’s it. Also, the touch functions are a little hit and miss but ultimately who’s going to grumble that much about having to take their phone out of their pocket or bag and have a pair of wired earphones or headphones as a backup.
