What we think of the design:
Design-wise the 059 Lite headphones look like more or less any other pair of wireless headphones you can pick up online or on the high street. There is a lack of any sort of premium material so they do feel plasticky but not like they will fall apart. On the plus side they can be folded up making them easier to carry around in a bag
What’s good about it?
The Mpow 059 Lite headphones are comfortable to wear even for longer periods of time, which is made possible with the long battery life. We weren’t able to fully test Mpows stated up to 60 hour battery life but we had a comfortable full day without having to consider recharging. And if the battery you’d always be able to switch over to wired listening with the included 3.5mm Aux cable.
What’s the sound like?
Mpow claim the 059 Lite headphones produce Hi-Fi quality stereo sound. The sound is good, certainly for casual listeners, even more so given the price range. Where they lack is not having any sort of active noise cancelling.
Are there any drawbacks?
One thing we felt to be missing from these headphones is active noise cancelling. It would make such a difference to the listening experience because the ear pads only provide a certain amount of passive noise cancelling and even that depends on how they sit on your head. Ultimately a very good value pair of wireless headphones with more reasons to buy than not.
