Our Expert review of the Seneo WaveMat 193 2 in 1 Wireless QI Charger
What we think of the design:
The Seneo looks more or less like most 2 in 1 wireless chargers, with a stand for a smartphone to rest on and a cradle for a smart watch to sit on/rest on. The big difference with this QI charger though is the requirements to charge your Apple or Samsung watch. You’ll need to use the standard charger that comes with your smartwatch and the supplied cradle will only support an Apple Watch charger. There is a full size USB port inside the charger.
What’s good about it?
It’s a low cost wireless charging solution and as long as your handset is QI enabled it won’t matter if you have an iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Huawei or Google Pixel, you’ll be able to quickly charge your device. The included smart watch cradle is great if you have an Apple Watch. It takes away the need for lots of wires and having to swap cables so you’re able to charge both devices at the same time.
Are there any drawbacks?
Unfortunately yes, mainly the smart watch charging issue. As has been highlighted a couple of times, the supplied cradle only seems to fit an Apple watch charger so if you have one great, if not you’ll have to thread your charger through the top cover and have it sat there not looking as pretty and tidy as it could do.
Are there alternatives?
There are plenty of slightly different variations of wireless chargers that can support smartphone and smart watch charging and some can even charge your headphones.
